Celebrating 5 Years of Growth at Panoramic Landscapes

Can you believe it’s been five years? It seems like just yesterday we were a small team with big dreams, eager to transform outdoor spaces in our community and beyond. In that time, we have completed works around London and the Southeast  to the value of £23,000,000 and counting.

Five Years of Growth

Looking back, we’re filled with a sense of accomplishment. We’ve witnessed countless sites blossom into vibrant escapes, empty spaces become the heart of new developments, and tired-looking landscapes reborn into flourishing havens.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, we have taken a trip down memory lane to feature some of our favourite projects completed. Below we have listed the name of the project alongside the main company who headed the development.

  • Baltimore Wharf – CJ O’Shea (one of our first ever projects)
  • Colchester Sports Hub – RG Carter
  • Tissington Court – Guildmore
  • Abbey Road – Iconic Build
  • Kitchener Barracks – Tophat
  • Rayleigh Care Home – KORI Construction
  • Woodbridge Care Home – Horizon
  • Mole Business Park – Collins Construction
  • Freemans School – Gilbert Ash
  • Chichester Care Home – Lawrence Baker
  • Chigwell Primary School – Mclaren
  • Stihl Camberley – Glencar
  • Big Yellow, Bracknell – ISG
  • Leventhorpe School – Bowmer & Kirkland

It has been an exciting half-decade, and we look forward to many more years of transforming outdoor spaces and cultivating lasting relationships.

Founder and Director, Phillip Hilbeck would like to thank the whole team both internally and externally for their commitment and extraordinary work over the last five years.

Phillip would also like to thank all Main Contractors and Suppliers who have helped over the last five years and is looking forward to continuing working with you all in the future.

Supplying and Supporting the Stay Safe, Stay Warm Campaign

With the cost-of-living crisis and increased energy bills, the choice to turn on the heating when the temperature drops have simply not been an option for some people. Thankfully, there is support out there – including from The North Star Pub. A local business to our Hastings office. They are providing free hot drinks for elderly and vulnerable people who are struggling to heat their homes.

The campaign has been named ‘Stay Safe, Stay Warm’ and has been set up by the landlord of the pub Grant Hayes. It is for individuals and families struggling with the increasing heating and energy bills primarily but also for anyone who needs to keep warm. The idea is to provide a safe space for people and families to sit, have a warm drink, and not feel obliged to buy anything. It takes the pressure off rising costs and prevents people from sitting at home alone in the cold.

Initially, the invitation was for anyone who needed to keep warm to just bring their own teabags, etc and the pub would happily provide hot water and a warm place to sit. However, since then, a whole host of kind and generous people have donated teabags, coffee, and biscuits allowing people to pop in without bringing anything and can stay for a while, stay warm, play some games, and enjoy a hot drink – completely free of charge.

We heard about this great campaign and wanted to assist. We happily donated coffee, tea, hot chocolate, sugar, and some biscuits. Here’s Tamzin and Grant outside the North Star on Bohemia Road, Hastings.

Hopefully, our donations will help the pub on its mission to continue supporting the residents of Hastings to Stay Safe and Stay Warm.

Our Event Recap for 2023

Growing the Panoramic Team

We are delighted to introduce Chris Howey, our new Commercial Manager here at Panoramic Landscapes. He will be overseeing the company processes and amending those in place to help increase profitability and reduce risk.

Chris started ‘on the tools’ as a labourer over twenty years ago and has built up an impressive work history since having moved up the ranks as a Team Leader, Supervisor, Company Owner, Contracts Manager, Site Manager, Senior Contracts Manager and Quantity Surveyor. This wide array of positions have all been in the landscaping industry and so have provided Chris with a wealth of knowledge that can be applied to this new and exciting role.

When Chris is not hard at work, he is very much a family man. Married for six years (together for twenty-two) and a proud father to three children. Twin daughters and a son.

Congratulations Chris and welcome to the team. To join our growing and friendly team of landscape professionals, please take a look at the rest of our website.

Supporting and Sponsoring a Local Team

We are proud to be sponsoring the kit for the veteran players at Battle Town Football Club.

Battle Town Football Club are based in the historic town of Battle. They manage a couple of teams including their Veteran’s Football group. Aimed for men aged 35 and over, it provides a space for players who may be out of the league of slightly younger players but still enjoy the game just as much. The team are part of the Hastings Veteran’s League and matches are played once a month on Sundays.

We take pride in supporting local events and causes where possible and so jumped at the opportunity of sponsoring the kit for the next season. We would like to thank local kit providers and printers – Macron Sports Hub in Hastings. The kit looks great.

Panoramic Promotion

New Contract Manager – Same Great Staff

As a growing company we are committed to continued improvement to ensure we sustain the high quality of service we currently deliver. Part of this is achieved by expanding the team and promoting from within.

Over the past few months, we have seen a large increase in the volume of works being won and we are now actively seeing multiple large projects ongoing simultaneously. It was therefore appropriate to appoint a new manager to help streamline operations as we continue to expand and work on these large projects.

We strive to reward those who continue to work hard for the company and that is where our ‘promote within’ initiative derives from. We are therefore pleased to welcome Alfie Winter to the management team.

Alfie comes with years of experience within commercial landscaping and has worked his way through the ranks from operative to foreman to supervisor and now to management. We believe that with the experience and drive that Alfie has, he will quickly cement himself as a key member of the management team.

Going to Ground

Expanding our Grounds Maintenance Services

To date, for the majority of the soft landscaping projects we complete, we include an ongoing site maintenance service, usually for the first twelve months. This ensures that the turf or seed, plants, and trees, can establish themselves and flourish under our care to provide an attractive landscape for the future. We are now offering a similar service to any site or facility needing ongoing care.

Our grounds maintenance services can include tasks such as grass cutting, trimming, and strimming plus lawn care. Also, regular weeding so that the aesthetics of your sites are not affected, pruning, and shaping of hedges, shrubs, plants, and trees plus planting including of seasonal bulbs.

We have the appropriate tools and machinery to do all of this quickly and efficiently and can schedule regular visits to ensure your gardens and grounds continue to look good.

Panoramic provide experienced and highly motivated grounds maintenance teams to sites in London and the South East. To discuss your grounds maintenance and other landscape care needs with our team, or to obtain a quotation, please contact us.

Growing in 2023!

Annual Conference – Being the Best

On Wednesday 25th January, we held our annual conference for all Panoramic Landscape staff. It was the perfect chance for us to all come together and discuss the next steps for the company as we continue to grow.

As we enter our fourth year in business, our management and site supervisors left with clear company objectives, motivated and full of enthusiasm for making 2023 the best yet.

The conference was hosted by Tom Christopher from Stirling Training Consultants who ensured the day ran to precision form start to finish. The event was a huge success with everyone enjoying and contributing to a phenomenal outcome.

Thank you to all attendees and their contributions. It was a great day and one that will be remembered for some time to come. If you need a high achieving soft landscaping contractor and have a project that will contribute to our growth, please contact us.
